Sophia Boman made an immediate impact in her first professional season with Sporting JAX. The midfielder started all 29 matches during the 2025/26 campaign, scoring six goals and adding seven assists. Her seven assists tied for the league lead as Sporting JAX finished the regular season as the No. 2 seed and reached the Gainbridge Super League Playoffs.
Boman's consistency earned league recognition throughout the season. She was selected to the Gainbridge Super League Team of the Month three times, earning honors in December, March and April. Her March included two goals and an assist in three appearances, while she followed with another two goals in April.
Before turning pro, Boman played at the University of Minnesota, where she became a two-year captain and developed into one of the Big Ten's top midfielders. As a graduate student in 2024, she played every minute of Minnesota's season, scored eight goals and earned First Team All-Big Ten and United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Second Team honors while helping the Gophers reach the NCAA Sweet 16. She also earned Academic All-America recognition.
