Ellie Bravo-Young, formerly Ellie Wheeler, has quickly built a significant role with Kansas City Current since entering the NWSL in 2024. Kansas City selected the Penn State defender 18th overall in the 2024 NWSL Draft, and she scored in her professional debut during the club's first match at CPKC Stadium. Later that year, she signed a four-year extension keeping her with the Current through 2028.
Her second professional season included 21 regular-season appearances, 15 starts and an NWSL Shield. In the 2025 NWSL Playoffs, Bravo-Young scored a 90+6' equalizer against Gotham FC, the latest game-tying goal in regulation in NWSL Playoff history.
Before turning pro, Ellie was a four-year starter at Penn State, appearing in 77 matches and helping the Nittany Lions win the 2022 Big Ten Championship. She has also spent time with U.S. Youth National Teams at the U-17, U-19 and U-23 levels.
HSM represents Ellie as she continues building her career in Kansas City, where she is already under contract through the 2028 season.
