Cat Barry's first two years in professional soccer have moved quickly. HSM began representing Barry as she finished a record-setting career at South Carolina in late 2024. She left Columbia as a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-American and the program's all-time leader in goals and points.
Barry earned her first professional opportunity with Chicago Stars FC in 2025, making four NWSL appearances before moving to Lexington Sporting Club that summer. Lexington extended her contract through the 2026/27 season shortly after her arrival.
What followed was a record-setting season. Barry scored 16 regular-season goals in 28 appearances to win the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League Golden Boot, breaking the league's single-season scoring record. She added four assists to become the first player in league history to reach 20 goal contributions in a regular season and was named First Team All-League. Lexington won both the Players' Shield and the league championship, with Barry assisting the equalizer in the 2026 Final.
HSM followed Barry's breakout throughout the spring, including her April Player of the Month award, Golden Boot and All-League selection. She returns to Lexington for the 2026 season as the defending league Golden Boot winner.
