When professional beach volleyball players Maddison and Riley McKibbin’s 4-man volleyball exhibition with NBA players Richard Jefferson and Luke Walton took off on YouTube, the brothers knew they had something special. The 2018 match entitled, “The Greatest Beach Volleyball Match Ever: AVP vs NBA” garnered close to one million views and has led to the McKibbin brothers to throw their own star-studded four-on-four volleyball affair in Austin, Texas, on October 23.

The event will feature Olympians April Ross, Tri Bourne, and Casey Patterson, as well as rising stars Chase Budinger and Kristen Nuss among those who will compete for the $20,000 prize in Austin. Both McKibbin brothers explained why the format would appeal to fans of both beach and indoor volleyball.
